Grayscale Investments has filed an amended registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to convert its Grayscale Bittensor Trust into an exchange-traded fund (ETF). The October 23 filing outlines plans to list the shares on NYSE Arca under the ticker GTAO, subject to regulatory and exchange approval. The shares currently trade on the OTCQX market. The proposed ETF would give investors exposure to TAO through traditional brokerage accounts without directly holding the cryptocurrency. Grayscale currently cannot stake the fund’s TAO holdings, as required regulatory conditions remain unmet.
